"Both of us had bridge work that was collapsing, and we were both aware that we were one accidental shoe away from having no teeth. We initially looked into Turkey and similar places, but we were absolutely relieved to find 21D. The technology is incredible, the level of care is ideal, and it really feels like everybody cares.
During the first half of the procedure, I was tapping my feet to the music, just going along with the flow. In the second half, I became more aware of my situation, but even then, it was great. The staff are very professional. She had no bruising. I was black and blue, but any pain afterwards was mitigated with medication, which was brilliant.
I was still able to eat before the surgery, but afterwards, it was all soft food for eight weeks. Sometimes, I find myself staring at teeth or thinking maybe part of it should be slightly uneven, just so it doesn't look quite so perfect, because they are perfect—absolutely incredible. I'm much more relaxed already.
It's life-changing and liberating. The Facebook page is fantastic. Everyone should check it out first; it's so helpful. The amount of information you can get is overwhelming, and I'm on there all the time answering questions.
I used to hide my smile, but now people think I look happier. It's such a personal thing because it's one of the first things people notice.
The final straw was post-Christmas. My crown just came out while sitting at a dinner, and someone came up to ask if I was alright. That was in January. We were at 21D by early February. So, yeah, let’s get this sorted."
